Industrial building in Alicante

An industrial warehouse can be developed with pleasure and delicacy both in the project phase as in the construction phase of every detail.

This work was developed in collaboration with Eneseis architecture studio so the design was a very important item during the entire execution process.

Project details

Client: Industria Tecnológica de Aplicaciones Electronicas (ITAE)
Location: Alicante, Spain
Project type: Industrial warehouse
Intervention area: 995 m²
Phase: Finished
Architect: Grupo Eneseis

Facade

Located in an industrial park full of blind buildings isolated from the outside, the building stands out from others for its transparency.

The main facade is made by a paneling of precast concrete slabs made to measure for this project.

This modulation is highlighted with an intense yellow color that stands out both in the metalic profiles as in the grooves of the precast concrete.

Transition space

The colors chosen give a strong personality to the building, which is noticed in the transition spaces from the exterior to the interior. The metalic staircase highlights by its yellow structure formed by the most esential elements. This space acts as a filter between public and private space and creates a gradual access to the offices area.

Reception

The reception located in the offices area is a space with neutral character enhanced by materials with light-tones: panels of wood lacquered in satin white combined with tempered glass screens, a polished concrete floor, and an acoustic ceiling of perforated plasterboards.

The following details were executed in the meeting room in order to preserve the minimalist character of the building: raw concrete walls combined with panels in basic materials; installation of linear grilles along the wall, instalation of carpentry with minimal profiles and absence of electrical sockets in the walls.

Offices

The offices area has a large open space for collaborative working. In contrast to the rest of the building, t.his room has a point of warmth provided by the paneling of OSB boards in walls.

Curtain wall

The whole front of the offices area is widely illuminated through a curtain wall composed by a structure of rolled steel with a service platform made of steel grating and a front covering made of folded steel with micro perforations.

The same system is repeated in the aforementioned transition space until reaching the patio located on the upper floor.

Patio

The patio located on the upper floor creates a pleasant space in the rest area of the industrial building. The flat roof consists of a ventilated system of over-raised pavement arranged on PVC plots of adjustable height and topped with artificial grass.

From the patio you can access to the rest area through a custom-made gate of Viroc boards to give continuity to the raw concrete paneling.

Rest area

At the end of this tour are the kitchen and the dining area. The space was decorated with great taste, following the latest interior design trends.

The kitchen separates from the dining room in a subtle way maintaining the uniformity in the materials chosen for the entire space.

A large sliding window, built into the facade wall itself, connects the leisure area with the outdoor patio. The doors blend with the wood paneling reducing the design of the building to its most elementary materials.
