Minimalist corner housing project

Once the plot is completely clean and clear, we proceed to mark the foundation with the presence of a topographer, to avoid making mistakes and string together the construction of the house to the maximum.

Minimalist architecture is a movement that tries to eliminate excess elements as much as possible, leaving only the essential aspects or qualities, where the objective is to achieve maximum simplicity and clean spaces where you can live. Given this small introduction to minimalist architecture, the design of this house wanted to follow that line, and this was taken into account from the beginning of its design until the last “screw” was put into the house.

The action plot had an existing building, the demolition work was carried out with specialized machinery in these cases, where all the remains of debris were taken to a waste management logistics center for treatment.

Once the plot is completely clean and clear, we proceed to mark the foundation with the presence of a topographer, to avoid making mistakes and string together the construction of the house to the maximum.

The excavation process is a process that can present many difficulties and even more so when you have to dig in dividing walls. To do this, the development work must be carried out exhaustively and with caution to avoid causing damage or injury to the adjoining home. Look that was achieved without any problem!

Contact with the ground can always present problems, for this same reason, prior to the placement of the structure, a polyethylene sheet is spread that acts as a barrier to the rise of humidity by capillarity, to at the same time protect the structure.

In the same execution phase, different combinations of items can be presented, in this case before pouring the concrete floor, the entire sanitation installation and its framing with thermal insulation, a very important material to generate all a thermal envelope of the house.

Pouring from the floor on the ground floor, where you can see how the drainage points of the different toilets, or in your case, of the kitchen, appear.

The structure of the house is executed by means of reinforced concrete slabs and pillars. It can be seen, how a metal structure is lowered on the ground floor, this metal lintel is placed because that part of the enclosure will have a great light, that is, a window with large dimensions will go, so the brickwork must be reinforced. Follow the process of the work on our blog to see the final results.

Completing the phase of masonry and exterior enclosures, different works are carried out such as waterproofing roofs, which in this case are not passable, or giving the first coat of plaster to the exterior facade to later place the final coating.
